Application Form: The prescribed application form provided by the RNI, duly filled and signed by the publisher.
First and Last Issues: Printed copies of the first and last issues of the publication.
Affidavit: An affidavit affirming ownership of the publication and stating the non-existence of similar titles.
Proof of Ownership: Documents establishing the ownership of the publication, such as a partnership deed, memorandum of association, articles of association, or any other legally recognized proof of ownership.
Title Verification Report: A title verification report from a lawyer or an authorized officer certifying that the proposed title of the publication does not infringe upon existing copyrights or trademarks
Declaration of Circulation: A declaration of circulation figures, including the average number of copies printed and distributed per issue.
Undertakings: Undertakings from the publisher and editor affirming their responsibilities and obligations regarding the publication.
Photographs: Recent passport-sized photographs of the publisher and editor
Payment Receipt: Proof of payment for the registration fees as per the specified guidelines.
Process

Publishers need to submit an application for registration to the RNI. The application should be duly filled with accurate and complete information. It should include details such as the title of the publication, language, periodicity, name, and address of the publisher, editor, printer, and place of publication.
Authentication of Declaration

Once the form is submitted, the hard copy of the same needs to be submitted to the authority concerned (DM/DC) along with Form 1. The RNI undertakes a thorough verification process. They examine the submitted documents, verify the circulation figures, and check for any conflicts with existing registered publications.
Approval of Verification of Title

Once the above application gets approved by the Department, the applicant gets the intimation of the same, and the Title Verification letter can be downloaded from RNI Official Website.
Publication of First Volume

The first issue is to be made within 42 days of authentication of declaration if periodicity is daily or weekly. The first issue is to be made within 60 days of authentication of declaration if periodicity is fortnightly or above.
Final RNI Registration Certificate

Once the Title is verified, the final registration needs to be done within 2 years from the date of registration, attaching the proof of Publication.
